Worked on campus in the work program, helped teach other students learn how to use and fix computers.
I was a high school drop out, that later went out and earned my GED, and then two year associates in Computer and network administration college degree in 2009 from Southern Career College in Jacksonville Florida. I went on to take classes at various trade schools from Fast-train to New Horizons. With studies from A+ certification, Network+ certification, Security plus certification, MCSE server certifications, getting hands on labs for these skills.
At a local college (Southern Career College), I graduated with honors, I earned all A’s but because of a stomach bug the week of finals two times, my make up test brought my A’s down to a B with it being an average of 3.89 GPA at graduation. Quite the achievement for a High School dropout.
A couple of years later, I went to Virginia college in 2018, to earn a couple of newer certifications and degrees to find a better career path. That school ended up closed by the end of the year, but I was able to get out with three certifications in three weeks (CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications), thanks to the teachers devoted to the students.
I have not renewed my CompTIA certifications for the 3 areas due to my interests in Endpoint computing and desire to become more of a Windows system administrator/engineer, and recently getting more into the cloud tech area with AWS practitioner training and study now.
